Rockets at Warriors OddsShark Matchup Report
Golden State Warriors
The sports media nowadays loves to overreact to every single game, and many were doing just that after Stephen Curry had a terrible night in Golden State’s 127-105 loss in Game 2. Curry’s 16-point night and 1-for-8 shooting from three-point range fueled plenty of questions about his health and whether or not he could contribute.
Those questions were answered loudly in Game 3 with the biggest postseason blowout in the Warriors’ history, led by Curry draining five three-pointers en route to a 35-point performance.
The Warriors’ last postseason home loss came in 2016. Golden State is 16-0 SU and 8-7-1 ATS in its last 16 playoff home games per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Houston Rockets
In what was a perfect storm of Golden State’s top players playing well and Houston’s top players having an off night, Houston suffered a humiliating blowout loss in Game 3.
It would be easy to write off the Rockets after their performance in Game 3, but it’s worth noting that the team responded to a 13-point loss in Game 1 with a 22-point win in Game 2. That win brought Houston’s record to 10-0 SU and 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games coming off of a loss.
In Houston’s last 15 games as a betting underdog, the Rockets are just 4-11 SU and 5-9-1 ATS.
Tuesday night’s total is set at 224 points. The UNDER is 5-1 in Golden State’s last six games.
This series has failed to live up to the hype thus far, failing to produce any instant classics with three straight lopsided results. If Houston hopes to get back into this series, it will likely take a gutsy effort that goes right down to the wire to upset the defending champions on their home court.
