The Chargers are facing off against the Ravens in a game that will be big on playoff implications. Los Angeles needs to win in order to have a chance at getting home field advantage, while Baltimore is trying to clinch a playoff berth.

On a Saturday night primetime game, there’s bound to be some crazy stuff occur that most people wouldn’t expect. Heck, no one thought the Chargers would go into Kansas City and defeat the Chiefs last week.

With that being said, here are three bold predictions for Week 16’s matchup:

Lamar Jackson has done wonders for the Ravens ever since he took over as the team’s starer. He’s done it by running the ball almost as much as he throws it. His 566 rushing yards are the most by any quarterback in NFL history over the first five starts of his career.

But Jackson will have the task of going up against the No. 9 run defense in the league. After proving that they were able to limit another dual threat quarterback in Patrick Mahomes to just three yards, they’re capable of stopping him on the ground.

The key to slowing him down will be aligning Derwin James near the line of scrimmage, minimizing the pocket by getting pressure up front by the interior defensive line and keeping the linebackers at home so that way he doesn’t evade the pocket.

If they’re able to do all of this, it could be a long night for Jackson. That’s why I’m banking on him being limited to less than 30 yards rushing.
