Cleveland Browns get big win in Denver: Crowquill - cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns improved to 6-7-1 and kept their playoff chances alive by beating the Denver Broncos (6-8) on the road, 17-16.

The Browns had lost 11 straight regular season games to the Broncos going back to 1990.

It was a complete team win with both sides of the ball doing their job. The defense got two interceptions and two sacks, while the offense led by Baker Mayfield threw for two TD passes and Nick Chubb ran for 100 yards on 20 carries.

The Browns did their part to keep their playoff hopes alive. Now they can sit back and watch how the other contenders do today. Cleveland will be rooting for Minnesota to beat Miami, Dallas to beat Indianapolis, Tennessee to win over the Giants and Tampa Bay to beat Baltimore.
