Another No. 1 about to go down?!
At the half, No. 16 Gardner-Webb has the lead on top-seeded Virginia. For the Cavs, this can't really happen again...
No one has forgotten about how UVA lost as a No. 1 last season to No. 16 UMBC. And, they posted a brilliant tweet once seeing the Cavs were in major trouble once again.
Well, the same team the Retrievers defeated a year ago finds themselves in an early hole to Gardner-Webb, with the score 36-30 at the half. As a reference, Virginia went into halftime tied with UMBC in the famous game last season.
Fans are beginning to notice what could be unfolding in front of our eyes.
You just hate to see it.
While fans are going to watch the second half with excitement, it is important to note that the margin could be bigger, as the Bulldogs led by as much as 30-16 at one point, so despite being down on the scoreboard, the Cavaliers exited the first half with momentum.
Fans are nervous in Virginia right now and we really can't blame them.
