East Grand Rapids native Jim Boylen was elevated from assistant coach to head coach of the Chicago Bulls on Monday, and he's hugging the "e" in his last name especially hard right now.
The announcement came in conjunction with the firing of Fred Hoiberg and it immediately sent Twitter into a tailspin. There was another assistant coach in the NBA named Jim Boylan who actually was the Bulls interim head coach in 2007-08.
So, the Bulls' history book will show a Jim Boylen and a Jim Boylan as coaches. That proved hard to take.
